What is the earth & me?
At the earth & me, we create durable, safe, and beautifully designed stainless steel food and drink containers. Our goal is to bring joy to your daily routines with products that are as functional as they are fun—all while caring for the planet.
PRODUCTS
What are your containers made of?
Our containers are made from high-quality, food-grade stainless steel (304 or 18/8 standard) with 100% BPA-free silicone lids (of LFGB standard). No weird chemicals, no plastic nasties—just durable, safe, and eco-friendly materials for you and your family.
Are the lids leakproof?
Yes! Our silicone lids create a snug, spill-resistant seal. While they can handle the chaos of a toddler’s backpack, we don’t recommend throwing them into a tornado (or an overstuffed diaper bag with rogue applesauce pouches).
Are the containers dishwasher-safe?
Absolutely! Both stainless steel base and silicone lids are dishwasher-safe.
Can I microwave these containers?
Unlike traditional stainless steel containers that can cause sparks in the microwave, our containers are engineered with safety in mind. They feature specially designed rounded edges that help absorb and disperse microwave energy, reducing the risk of arcing. Additionally, our containers are electropolished, this allows for a smoother finish/coat that improves structural integrity of the item as it eliminates any microscopy fissures that can weaken the surface - hence further reducing the chance of any arc-ing of microwaves. It also improves surface cleanability and reduces the rate of bacterial growth as micro crevices are eliminated making the surface fully passive. This process further enhances safety and ensures even heating, so you can warm up your meals without worry. Enjoy the convenience of stainless steel with the added benefit of microwave compatibility.
What do I need to know about microwaving stainless steel?
So, your stainless steel container is microwave-safe—but like any kitchen wizardry, there are a few rules to follow.
🔹 Microwave Compatibility: Works best in modern microwaves up to 1000W. Not suitable for those older 915 MHz microwaves (basically, if your microwave looks like it time-travelled from the '90s, double-check before using).
🔹 Handle with Care: Stainless steel gets hot! Use oven gloves or a tea towel unless you enjoy the thrill of juggling hot lunches.
🔹 One at a Time, Please! Microwaving multiple boxes together? Big no-no. Heat them one by one to avoid unexpected fireworks. Also, keep it away from cutlery, foil, or anything else metallic that could turn your meal into a science experiment.
🔹 Slow & Steady Wins the Race: Expect slightly longer heating times than plastic or glass. But hey, you’re avoiding weird chemicals, so totally worth the wait!
🔹 No Metal Touching! Make sure the container isn’t snuggling up against any metal racks, plates, or microwave walls—it’s not that kind of relationship.
🔹 Lid-Free Zone: Never microwave with the lid fully sealed—trust us, you don’t want surprise explosions! If you’d like to prevent splatters, simply place the lid loosely on top, off-center, so steam can escape safely. Let the heat out, not the drama!

Can I put these containers in the oven?
But our containers are oven-safe (up to 400°F / 200°C), so you can reheat meals the old-fashioned way.
Do the containers keep food hot or cold?
While they’re not vacuum-insulated like a thermos, stainless steel naturally helps maintain food temperature longer than plastic. For extended heat retention, we recommend wrapping your container in a towel or using an insulated lunch bag.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship to the USA and UK. Orders in the USA are fulfilled by Amazon FBA, and UK orders are shipped directly from us.
How long does shipping take?
USA: 2–5 business days via Amazon FBA.
UK: 3–5 business days via Royal Mail 48 hour tracked.
How much does shipping cost?
USA: Free shipping on orders over $50! Standard rates apply below that.
UK: Free shipping on orders over £40! (Because we love you.)
Do you offer express shipping?
Yes! At checkout, you’ll see options for faster shipping if you need your eco-friendly goodies ASAP.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
What’s your return policy?
We offer no quibble returns within 30 days of purchase. If you're not happy, we’re not happy—just contact us, and we’ll sort it out.
What if my product arrives damaged?
Oh no! If your order arrives looking like it went through a wrestling match, email us at hello@theearthnme.com with a photo, and we’ll replace it faster than you can say "sustainability."
SUSTAINABILITY & ETHICS
How eco-friendly are your products?
Our containers are 100% plastic-free, reusable, and designed to last for years, reducing waste from disposable plastics. Even our packaging is recyclable, because we’re serious about the planet.
Where are your products made?
Our stainless steel containers are responsibly made in China, where we work closely with manufacturers who follow ethical labour and environmental practices.
How can I dispose of my container if I no longer need it?
Stainless steel is infinitely recyclable, so check with your local recycling center if you ever need to part ways with your container. That said, these things are built to last—so why not pass them on to a friend or donate them?
We’re also working on a circular recycling program where you’ll be able to send back old containers that no longer work for you. Our goal? To give them a second life as brand-new containers! This initiative is still in the works, but we’re committed to rolling it out as soon as possible—stay tuned!
